Theater Lore & History
Arizona's last surviving drive-in, West Wind Glendale 9 opened June 1979 and expanded to 9 screens by 1984 — making it the largest operating drive-in on the West Coast. West Wind took over operations in 2007 and upgraded select screens to 4K laser projection while preserving vintage film projectors on display in the concession building.
