Theater Lore & History
Opened July 6, 1950 in the Rio Grande Valley, the Wes-Mer closed in 1984 and was restored and reopened in 1994 by new owners. The single-screen, 400-car venue operates nightly year-round in the southernmost tip of Texas near the Mexican border.
