Theater Lore & History
Twin City Drive-In has operated since 1949 on Volunteer Parkway in the Tri-Cities area on the Tennessee-Virginia line. Its original wooden screen was destroyed by a 1977 tornado but replaced within a week; the single-screen drive-in doubles as a campground on NASCAR race weekends.
