Opened May 29, 1948 by Ernest and Dorothy Handy, the Sunset Drive-In has not missed a season since — making it one of New England's oldest continuously operating drive-ins. Now run by son Peter Handy, it expanded to 4 screens by 1994 and converted all to digital in 2014.
