Theater Lore & History
The Skyview Drive-In opened July 8, 1949, originally with a 60-foot single screen that could hold 900 cars. A second screen was added in the early 1980s after the original was destroyed in a 1955 storm; the venue is still operated by the Bloomer (BAC Theatres) family and upgraded to laser projection in 2013.
