Theater Lore & History
Opened April 14, 1948, Silver Moon is Polk County's last surviving drive-in. The original concrete screen was destroyed by Hurricane Donna in 1960 and replaced with an 80-foot curved steel screen. A second screen was added in 1985. Both screens were upgraded to laser projection in 2022. Features a snack bar and weekend flea market.
