Theater Lore & History
Opened April 16, 1952 with "Singin' in the Rain," Ruskin Family Drive-In is one of Florida's last independently operated drive-ins, run by the Freiwald family on US-41 north of Tampa Bay. After Hurricane Milton destroyed the screen in October 2024, community volunteers and donations funded a full rebuild; the theater reopened in March 2025.
