California's first drive-in theater, opened September 9, 1934 at 10860 W. Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles. The country's fourth drive-in, it held 500 cars and closed October 1, 1944. Its screen tower was relocated to Olympic Blvd and became the Olympic Drive-In.
