Theater Lore & History
Originally opened in 1951 as the Skyline Drive-In, the McHenry Outdoor Theater reopened under its current name on April 29, 1977 after a renovation. The Chicago-area single-screen runs year-round from March through October under owner Scott Dehn, who has operated it for nearly 25 years.
