Theater Lore & History
The M&F Drive-In (short for Milton-Freewater Drive-In) opened in 1954 on Oregon-Washington Highway four miles south of the Washington state line. The Spiess family has owned and operated the theater since 1962, maintaining its classic drive-in atmosphere through generations. The single 40-by-60-foot screen serves 375 cars, with double features running nightly at dusk from April through October. Cash-only and family-owned, it is one of the last remaining drive-ins in Oregon.
