Built in 1950 as the Hi-Way 5 Drive-In along the Connecticut River, the Fairlee Drive-In is one of two motel/drive-in theater combinations in the country — motel guests can watch from bed through a picture window. The 400-car single-screen venue reopened in 1987 after years of neglect.
