Opened July 1, 1948 as a single-screen 1,000-car venue and twinned a year later, the 41 Twin eventually grew to 4 screens and nearly 3,000 car spaces — one of the largest drive-ins in U.S. history. It closed September 16, 2001 and was demolished in 2002 to make way for a Northwestern Mutual office campus.
